SEPC wants to build waste incineration plant in Warsaw

Shanghai Electric Power Construction (SEPC) has submitted the lowest bid, with a gross price of over 1 billion PLN, in a tender procedure for the design and contracting for the development and modernization of the Solid Waste Neutralization Plant in Warsaw-Targówek, in the area of Gwarków and Zabraniecka streets. The budget of the investment, amounting to slightly less than 1 billion PLN, is approx. 38.5 mln PLN lower than the value of the bid. The remaining participants of the procedure have suggested prices that significantly exceed the budget assumptions – consortium of Constructions Industrielles de la Mediterranee with PORR – over 1.7 billion PLN; and Astaldi, Termomeccanica and Atzwanger – over 2.1 billion PLN. As we informed, the investment – designed by the Sweco workshop – is going to consist of the construction of a waste incineration plant and a sorting plant with a capacity of 305,000 tons a year. Works are scheduled to be completed within 32 months. ■
