Northvolt commenced construction of production complex

Menard has commenced preparations for Northvolt Poland's construction of a production complex on Andruszkiewicza Street in Gdańsk. The investor's partner is Bilfinger Tebodin Poland. Let us recall that the enterprise is going to entail development of properties with an area of approx. 12 ha, located on the property of the Pomorskie Centrum Inwestycyjne (Pomeranian Investment Center) in the back of the DCT terminal. The investment, to be carried out in two stages, is going to entail the construction of a factory with an assembly line for energy storage systems for electric vehicles, along with a research and development center, with a total area of approx. 57,500 sqm. The first stage will comprise the construction of a building with an area of 35,000 sqm, and the second – 22,500 sqm. The value of the investment has been estimated at approx. 750 million PLN, and the complex is to employ approx. 500 people. ■
