Mirbud will design and build for 280 million PLN a passenger terminal with area of 30,000 sqm in Radom

Planned investment

Following the third online auction, Mirbud has been chosen as the general contractor for the "design and build" construction of the new Warsaw Radom-Sadków passenger terminal (Warszawa Radom-Sadków im. Bohaterów Radomskiego Czerwca 1976 roku). The final price was established at 280.5 million PLN gross. The other candidates for the contract were Hochtief and Budimex. The tender procedure, issued by Przedsiębiorstwo Państwowe "Porty Lotnicze" (Polish Airports State Enterprise), which we informed about in December (the lowest price – 297 million PLN – was also offered by Mirbud), was annulled due to the too short contract delivery period established in the specification (the period was later extended to 26 months), and two online auctions were annulled due to technical issues.
Let us recall that the investment is going to entail the construction of a complex with a usable area of 30,000 sqm and a cubature of 280,700 meters3, designed to handle 3 million passengers per year. ■
